Shipping & Delivery

We deliver to all Australian states and territories. Handling time is 1–2 business days and transit time is 3–10 business days, for a total delivery time of 4–12 business days. Delivery is free on orders over $2,000. Orders under $2,000 are charged a flat rate of $25. We do not ship outside Australia.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Containers and cabins are delivered at no additional freight charge; the delivery cost is included in the listed price.

We deliver within Australia only. We do not ship internationally and cannot accept orders for delivery outside Australia. Any order placed with an overseas delivery address will be cancelled and refunded in full.

How Long Does Delivery Take?

Total delivery time is handling time plus transit time, counted from when your order is placed.

These are estimates, not guarantees. Crane and tilt-tray availability, weather, road closures and access restrictions at your site can affect timing. If a date changes we contact you before the scheduled day. Remote and island destinations may take longer, and we will tell you before you order.

Pick Up From Our Dandenong South Depot

You are welcome to collect from our depot at 150 Colemans Rd, Dandenong South VIC 3175, free of charge and by prior arrangement. Your vehicle and lifting equipment must be rated for the load. Pickup orders are ready within the handling time above — call 0420 128 358 to book a collection time.

Delivered by Tilt-Tray or Crane Truck

Containers are not parcel freight. Most units are delivered by tilt-tray truck, which slides the container off the back onto your prepared surface. Larger units, restricted-access sites or placements over a fence or building line require a crane truck (HIAB) or semi-trailer, which we arrange as part of your delivery.

Accessories and small items are sent by standard courier and are packaged for transit.

Preparing Your Site for Delivery

You are responsible for ensuring the site is ready and safe. Before your delivery date, confirm:

  • Firm, level ground capable of supporting the unit — compacted gravel, concrete or asphalt
  • Clear vehicle access, including turning room for a rigid or semi truck
  • Overhead clearance free of powerlines, branches and awnings
  • Adequate space for the truck to tilt or crane the unit into position
  • Any permits required by your local council for placement on or near a road reserve

If the driver arrives and the site is not accessible or not ready, a failed-delivery fee and a redelivery charge apply. If you are unsure, send us photographs beforehand and we will tell you whether the access will work before a truck is booked.

What to Do If Your Container Arrives Damaged

Inspect your unit on delivery before the driver leaves, where it is safe to do so, and note any visible damage at the time.

  1. Photograph the damage clearly, including a wide shot showing the whole unit.
  2. Email info@bordershippingcontainers.com.au or call 0420 128 358 with your order number, within 30 days of delivery.
  3. We respond within 2 business days and arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

How much does delivery cost?
Orders under $2,000 are charged a flat $25 anywhere in Australia. Orders of $2,000 and over are delivered free. Depot pickup is free by prior arrangement.
How long will my order take?
Handling is 1–2 business days and transit is 3–10 business days, so 4–12 business days in total. Orders placed after 2:00pm AEST are treated as received the next business day.
Do you deliver to my state?
Yes. We deliver to all Australian states and territories. We do not ship outside Australia.
Is delivery really free on containers?
Yes. Every container and cabin is priced above $2,000, so delivery is included in the listed price with no freight added at checkout.
What kind of truck will arrive?
Usually a tilt-tray, which slides the container onto your prepared surface. Restricted-access sites or placements over an obstacle need a crane truck (HIAB), which we arrange.
What happens if my site is not ready?
A failed-delivery fee and a redelivery charge apply. Send us site photographs beforehand and we will confirm whether access works before booking a truck.
Can I collect instead?
Yes, free of charge from our Dandenong South depot by prior arrangement, provided your vehicle and lifting equipment are rated for the load.
